Service Description
Giftale is a gift card management application. Card data is stored in the local database, with optional encrypted synchronization and sharing through Google Drive.
Encryption and Cloud Storage
When you enable cloud backup or sharing, the app encrypts wallet documents on your device before sending them to Google Drive. The service stores account, authentication, subscription, synchronization and sharing metadata, but not readable card contents.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Giftale, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
License to Use
Giftale grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on Giftale without permission.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any exported wallet files. We recommend encrypting exports and storing them securely. You are also responsible for the accuracy of gift card data you enter and for creating backups of your important data.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use Giftale for any illegal purposes, to violate any laws, or to infringe on the rights of others. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the security of the app. You may not use automated means to access the app or resell or commercially distribute Giftale.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Giftale is provided 'as is' without any warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or availability. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use Giftale at your own risk. We strongly recommend keeping backups of your gift card information.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Giftale and its developers shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost or expired gift card balances, data loss or corruption, device issues, indirect or consequential damages, or loss of profits. Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to use Giftale (which is $0 for the free version). Always keep backups of important data.
Proprietary Software
Giftale is proprietary software. All rights are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the application without explicit written permission.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to Giftale at any time, without notice, for violations of these terms or any other reason. You may stop using Giftale at any time by uninstalling the app. Your local data will remain on your device until you delete it.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use of Giftale after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
